Privacy Policy
TipSense works without an account, shows no ads and doesn't track you across other apps. This page explains exactly what we collect.
Last updated:
In short:
- No sign-up, no name, no email and no phone number needed to use the App.
- No ads, no advertising identifiers (IDFA / Android Advertising ID), no cross-app tracking, no selling of data.
- Crash reports help us fix bugs — you can turn them off. Usage statistics are only collected if you allow them.
- If you subscribe to VIP, a random ID is created so we can unlock VIP tips. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
1. Who we are
TipSense (the iOS and Android apps — the “App” — and the website tipsense.app) is run by Dimitar Shopovski, North Macedonia (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@tipsense.app.

3. What we collect and why
3.1 Using the App without an account
You can read free tips, results and statistics without creating an account. The App stores a few settings only on your device: that you confirmed you are 18+ (and when), your theme and sport filter, and your privacy choices. Tips and statistics are loaded from our database without identifying you; like any internet service, our servers and providers see your IP address when the App connects to them.
3.2 Crash and performance reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
When the App crashes or runs into an unexpected error, it sends a report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service. A report contains technical details: the error and where it happened in the code, device model, operating system and version, app version, free memory and disk space, whether the App was in the foreground, a list of the screens you opened just before the error, a Crashlytics installation ID, whether VIP was active and — if you have one — your random TipSense user ID (see 3.4), so we can match a report to a support request. Reports contain no tip content you viewed beyond screen names, and no contact details.
You can turn crash reports off at any time in Settings → Privacy.
3.3 Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase) — only with your consent
If you switch on “Share usage statistics” (on the welcome screen or later in Settings), the App sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase: which screens you open, when you open a tip (tip ID, sport, free/VIP, status), which sport filter you choose, and when you restore purchases, plus whether you are a VIP subscriber. Google adds an app instance ID, device and OS details, app version and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address. If you are a VIP subscriber, subscription events (start, renewal, cancellation) may also be recorded.
We have disabled advertising identifiers, ad personalisation and Google signals. We use these statistics only to improve the App — never for advertising. Until you give consent, analytics collection is off. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings; this doesn't affect collection before you withdrew it.
3.4 VIP subscription and your random user ID
When you open the VIP screen or tap “Restore purchases”, the App creates an anonymous account for
you in our database: a random ID (for example 3f2a…) with no name, email or password attached. We use it
to know whether VIP is active and until when, so the server can unlock VIP tips for you.
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google process your payment; we never receive your name, card or bank details. To validate purchases we use RevenueCat, which receives your random user ID, store transaction and receipt data (product, price, currency, dates, store, country/storefront), and basic device and app information. RevenueCat informs our server when your subscription starts, renews, changes or ends; we store these events (with your random ID) to keep VIP status correct and for our accounting.
Your random ID is shown in Settings → Privacy → Support ID, so you can quote it when you contact us or ask us to delete your data.
3.5 Notifications — only if you allow them
If you allow notifications, the App registers a push token (a device address issued by Apple or Google) and your notification preferences (for example which sports, free or VIP) in our database, linked to your random user ID if you have one. Notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service. You can turn them off at any time in the App or in your device settings.
3.6 Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach or tell us (for example your Support ID or device). We use this only to answer you and to improve the Service.
3.7 What we don't do
- We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, date of birth or location in the App.
- We don't show ads, use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
- We don't make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Legal bases (EU / UK GDPR and the North Macedonian data protection law)
- Contract — to provide the App and VIP, validate purchases and answer support requests (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Legitimate interests — to keep the App stable and secure through crash reports and server logs (Art. 6(1)(f)). Our interest is a working, safe App; you can object at any time by turning crash reports off.
- Consent — for usage statistics and notifications (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legal obligation — to keep purchase records required by tax and accounting law (Art. 6(1)(c)).
5. Service providers
We use a small number of providers who process data on our behalf under data processing terms, and only for the purposes above:
| Provider | What for | Data | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, anonymous accounts, server functions | Random user ID, VIP status, subscription events, push tokens, IP addresses in logs | EU (Frankfurt, Germany) |
| Google — Firebase Crashlytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, Cloud Messaging | Crash reports, usage statistics (with consent), notification delivery | As described in 3.2, 3.3 and 3.5 | USA and other countries |
| RevenueCat | Subscription validation and management | Random user ID, purchase and device data | USA |
| Cloudflare | Hosting this website, email forwarding for support | IP addresses, support emails in transit | Global network |
Apple and Google also process data as independent controllers when you download the App, buy VIP or receive notifications — under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights, and to a successor if TipSense is ever transferred (this policy would continue to apply).
6. International transfers
Some providers process data outside North Macedonia, the EU and the UK, in particular in the USA. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (for certified providers), and by the providers' security measures.
7. How long we keep data
- On-device settings: until you uninstall the App.
- Crash reports: 90 days (Firebase Crashlytics).
- Usage statistics: 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Random user ID and VIP status: until you ask us to delete them. Anonymous accounts with no active subscription and no app activity for 24 months are deleted automatically.
- Subscription events and purchase records: as long as needed to manage your subscription, and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Push tokens: until you turn notifications off, uninstall the App or the token expires.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Server and security logs: short-term, as set by our providers (typically days to weeks).
8. Your choices in the App
- Settings → Privacy → Crash reports: on/off.
- Settings → Privacy → Usage statistics: off unless you turn it on.
- Notifications: in the App or your device settings.
- Subscription: manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account.
- Delete your data: email support@tipsense.app with your Support ID (Settings → Privacy). We delete your account, VIP status, push tokens and ask RevenueCat to delete your subscriber record, except records we must keep by law. Deleting your data doesn't cancel a subscription — cancel it in your store account first.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email support@tipsense.app (include your Support ID if you have one). We reply within one month. Because we don't know who you are, we may ask for your Support ID or other details to find your data.
You can also complain to a data protection authority — in North Macedonia the Agency for Personal Data Protection, or the authority in the EU/EEA country or the UK where you live or work. We'd appreciate the chance to help first.
US residents: we don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information. You can make access and deletion requests as described above.
10. This website
tipsense.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and technical request data to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. Emails to our @tipsense.app addresses are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox.
11. Children
TipSense is only for adults aged 18+ (or the legal gambling age where they live, if higher). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will delete any related data.
12. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Our database uses row-level security so each user can only reach their own data, and administrative keys are kept on the server only. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to collect as little as possible — the best protection is data we never have.
13. Changes
We will update this policy when the App changes (for example if we add sign-in with an email or Apple/Google account). The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will tell you in the App before they take effect and, where required, ask for your consent again.
